Baigents Pty Ltd have been involved with the upgrade of Northland Shopping Centre over the past several years. The redevelopment of the centre has included the construction of new glazed barrel vault roofs in the existing malls, large feature entry structures and economical concrete carpark structure which maximised the number of available parking spaces.

Baigents have generally been responsible for the design, documentation and supervision of structural and civil services and in many cases also providing mechanical, fire protection and hydraulic services. For several of the projects we have also provided the shop detailing services which has reduced construction time of the project.

Each stage of the redevelopment has provided many interesting and new challenges, these include an innovative top down method of construction, including mixed construction materials, which enabled a three months reduction in construction time.
